Check bins – especially with the milder winter

With the milder winter temperatures, canola in storage might not be as stable as it usually is in mid-winter.  This would be a good time to check each bin for potential spoilage. How to check.

If stored canola temperatures start to rise while outside temperatures are cooling, this can signal the start of spoilage. It only takes one small hot spot to start a chain reaction that can spoil a whole bin.
