The small plot data report for Canola Performance Trials 2020 is available at the CPT site for viewing and downloading. This report features yield, days to maturity, height and lodging scores for each variety, by location and summarized data by season zones (short, mid and long) as well as across all season zones. The results in this report are based on 16 standard and 18 straight-cut small plot trials across the Prairies. The trials included 18 standard hybrids and 14 straight-cut hybrids from three herbicide-tolerant systems – Clearfield (only in Manitoba), Liberty Link and Roundup Ready – as well as seven TruFlex hybrids.
Once complete, the field scale dataset will be added into this report will be posted on the CPT website. For clarity on procedure specifics, see the 2020 standard and straight cut small plot trial protocols.
The 2020 program recognizes the funding from Alberta Canola Producers Commission (Alberta Canola), Saskatchewan Canola Development Commission (SaskCanola) and the Manitoba Canola Growers Association, with contributions from the B.C. Grain Producers Association. It also acknowledges the many seed distributors. The trials were again coordinated by Haplotech with direction from the CPT Governance and Technical Committees. The Canola Council of Canada supported on the delivery of the program.
