More snow has again delayed spring harvest of 2019 crop. The ideal option is to combine these crops because they’ll be worth something, crop insurance may require it (though check again just to be sure), and combining removes most of the volunteer seedbank (some seeds will have shelled out) while also providing some residue management.
While waiting for the snow to melt, perhaps check around for marketing opportunities. For one thing, spring-harvested canola is less stable in storage than fall-harvested canola. And delivery points may require samples in advance of delivery so they can run more detailed tests, like for free fatty acid levels. Canola Watch has a more detailed article on spring harvest.
