Call SaskCanola for a clubroot soil test kit. There is value in testing for clubroot in fields where canola was grown the previous year. For any Saskatchewan canola field not tested for the clubroot pathogen last fall, growers are encouraged to take soil samples this spring. SaskCanola will cover the cost of the test ($100 value). Contact the SaskCanola office at 306-975-0262 to request a provincial clubroot monitoring kit. Soil samples need to be sent to Discovery Seed Labs by June 30.

Results from sectional control research from Alberta Pulse Growers. Sectional control on drills and other equipment is a good way to improve the efficiency of inputs (by reducing overlap). Alberta Pulse Growers has posted this summary of ongoing research.
