The 2014 Canola Discovery Forum is a golden opportunity for growers, industry, life science companies, equipment companies, seed companies and researchers to exchange key insights and leading-edge ideas for the sustainable and profitable production of canola. Discovery Forum will strengthen the canola industry through an integrated approach with increased partnerships along the canola value chain system.
The two-day meeting is at TCU Place in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan October 22-23. It will build upon the momentum from last year’s meeting in Winnipeg.
Keynote speakers on day one include Indiana farmer Kip Tom on using data analysis to improve profits, Kristjan Hebert on taking small steps to make a big difference in canola production, and Jeff Schoenau on key ways to improve return on fertilizer investment. There will be break-out sessions and a fantastic opportunity for networking at a reception being held at the end of the first day. The morning of day two will feature concurrent workshops with topics that were identified last year as top opportunities in canola production. The afternoon will focus on current research projects which are the catalysts that fuel: discover, target and deliver. Through gaining a greater awareness of the roles and contributions of various stakeholders, participants will be integral in bringing the canola industry to the next level of productivity and sustainability.
