Many canola growers harvested lower than expected yields in 2012. So what happened? Why did the canopy look good enough to yield much higher than it did?
In many fields, it was quite likely a combination of factors. This week’s Canola Watch looks back on the year, and highlights these key contributing factors, providing tips on what can be done in 2013 to reduce these factors should they appear again.
We also like to note that Troy Prosofsky, former CCC agronomy specialist for southern Alberta, has taken a new job that brings him closer to his hometown of Hanley, Sask. We’ll miss him but wish him well.
