Canola Performance Trials (CPT) 2015 small-plot data on canola seed varieties is now available in this online booklet.
CPT 2015 had 29 small-plot sites across the Prairies. The booklet includes results from short, medium and long season zones, with yield and agronomic performance, as well as gross revenue for each variety and location.
The CPT provides science-based, unbiased and timely performance data that reflects actual production practices, as well as comparative data on leading canola varieties and newly introduced varieties.
The CPT program is funded by the three Prairie canola grower groups — the Alberta Canola Producers Commission, SaskCanola and the Manitoba Canola Growers Association. Seed companies that participate in the CPT program paid entry fees.
Participants in the small plot trials include Bayer CropScience, BrettYoung, Cargill, Canterra Seeds, CPS Canada/Proven Seed, DL Seeds and Syngenta.
Field-scale variety information will be available soon in an updated booklet and on the website. The online tool allows users to filter data by factors such as maturity zone and herbicide tolerance, and look at multiple years of data.
