Suspected foot rot cases have been confirmed in Manitoba, but the main disease issue in those plants was often blackleg. Foot rot was the secondary issue. When diagnosing a disease, look at all symptoms — particularly for blackleg pycnidia within lesions, sclerotia within infected stems, or clubroot galls, for example. Use the tools and resources listed above. And if the identification is still in question, consider taking samples to a lab. Here is a list of labs.
