PMRA maintains neonic seed treatment option for canola. The Canola Council value chain worked diligently over the last two years to provide the Pest Management Regulartory Agency (PMRA) with the scientific evidence and data needed to make the final decisions on these actives based on science, and not precaution. The final decision found that current use of these products by canola farmers does not pose an unacceptable risk to aquatic invertebrates and that the product use be maintained for seed treatment on canola.
