Farming Smarter seeks research co-operators. Farming Smarter has a goal to make on-farm trials as easy as possible for its cooperators. Working with its farmer cooperators, Farming Smarter gets field scale research results and the farmers gets experience in running effective comparison trials. The Lethbridge-based research organization is looking for in cooperators this year for two projects: (1) Precision planter research to evaluate performance of a precision planters compared to an air drill for canola at a field scale. Farming Smarter is looking for farmers with planters on 10-15″ row widths. (2) Flea beetle neonic research to compare canola results for seed treated with neonic + fungicide versus seed treated with fungicide only. Contact Farming Smarter
