The end of year two of Canola 4R Advantage marks the completion of the CCC’s role as a delivery partner under the On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF).
Canola 4R Advantage offered incentives to help growers initiate or advance 4R Nutrient Stewardship on canola acres. Expanding the use of 4R Nutrient Stewardship is an important opportunity to improve fertilizer efficiency, which is good for both farm productivity and our environment. Funding for Canola 4R Advantage was provided by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada through the Agricultural Climate Solutions – On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF).
While the CCC is no longer delivering OFCAF financial incentives to growers after the year two program (which covers eligible costs incurred and paid between April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024), 4R Nutrient Stewardship remains an important and ongoing commitment for the organization with a focus on research and innovation, as well as knowledge and technology transfer activities. Going forward, we encourage growers to investigate incentive opportunities through other OFCAF recipient organizations. To find out which OFCAF recipient organization best suits your nitrogen management needs in your region, please use the OFCAF recipient organization filterable tool.
